Students in forte will use the Writing Symphony methodology and system to practice descriptive sentence structure and focus on quality word choices. More “advanced level” sentence structure will be taught and required to serve the reader with high-level word choices through the use of synonyms and further vocabulary study. During each virtual lesson, students will be asked to choose focused facts from provided source texts that vary in topic and age-appropriate student interests. A weekly writing practice will solidify higher level vocabulary usage as well as reading strategies that will assist in the “think before your write” process.

Program Structure
Each grade-level program includes eight modules, with four one-hour lessons per module (32 lessons total). Classes are held online via Microsoft Teams, and students receive personalized feedback to support their growth.
