Writing Symphony Attendance Policy
Effective April 1, 2025

At Writing Symphony, we value consistency in learning and encourage regular attendance. Our teachers dedicate time each week to working with their students. To maintain a structured and effective learning environment, we ask that families follow the attendance guidelines outlined below.

Notification Requirement

We understand that illness and emergencies can occur. If a student will be absent, we ask that parents notify us at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible. Notifications can be sent via:

  • Email: support@writingsymphony.com
  • Text: (425) 490-8169

Missed Classes

  • Group Classes: If a student is absent, a recording of the class will be provided.
  • Single Student Classes:
    • If we are notified at least 24 hours in advance, we may extend the class end date by one week to accommodate the missed material.
    • If we are not notified 24 hours in advance, a recording will be provided.
      • No-Show Fee: If we do not receive any notice of an absence in a single student class, a $25 no-show fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

Teacher Absences

If a teacher is unable to conduct a class due to unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to provide a substitute. If a substitute is not available, the class end date will be extended by one week to accommodate the missed material.
