WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
“Writing has been the toughest subject for my daughter. She needed to be foundational in her grammar knowledge and was battling with ‘perfect product anxiety’ to where she had basically given up .... This program has given her the confidence and positive feedback that makes sentences more clearly stated and accurate with what she is trying to say.”
“We speak English as a second language at home and I struggle with speaking and writing. I had no idea Aaron had the ability to write as well as he now is writing … these classes brought him out of his shell and now he is confident and explores many different subjects to write about.”
“You may not want to be a writer, but you still need to communicate if you are a scientist or a doctor.”
METHODOLOGY
Think. Write. Speak. Repeat.
All Writing Symphony courses start and build on the fundamentals of creating clear, inspired, and persuasive communications. And unlike other writing literacy and language arts programs, Writing Symphony brings skills-based tools and the rigor of daily practice into every level of the program.
Think
Students consider their Outline of Focused Facts, sentence structure, mechanics, grammar, editing/proofreading, vocabulary, and Writing Variations throughout each level.
Write
Working from the outline, students flesh out content and create the narrative. Additionally, Writing Variations (Vigorous Verbs, Accompanied Adjectives, Sentence Preludes and more) are taught incrementally to gently move students from the basics into more sophisticated writing and public presentations.
Speak
Presenting is paramount to understanding topics, creating flow, and generating content that resonates. The immediacy of presentation feedback gives students the ability to rethink, revise, and present again, all the while gaining confidence in public speaking.
Repeat
Daily practice helps to engrain principles of powerful communication. As in learning to play the piano, mastering ballet, or even excelling in a sport, repetition is key to success.
